COVER-FrontThe Bluegrass Area Development District (BGADD) was formally organized on October 23, 1971, at a meeting of elected officials and other community leaders from seventeen (17) Central Kentucky counties—Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Powell, Scott, and Woodford. On November 9, 1971, the District was registered as a non-profit corporation with the Kentucky Secretary of State. Executive Order No. 71-1267, signed by Governor Nunn on November 16, 1971, recognized Bluegrass ADD as the official comprehensive planning and development agency for the 17 area.
