How We Do It
Our Committees & Councils
The Bluegrass Area Development District relies on the dedication of its committee and council members to help fulfill its mission of improving life across the region. Serving as a guiding voice, members provide leadership, insight, and oversight on key initiatives that strengthen local economies and enhance community well-being. Joining a committee offers opportunities to build leadership skills, share expertise, engage your interests, and make a lasting impact in the Bluegrass area.

What is an ADD?
An Area Development District (ADD) is a regional planning and resource organization that unites Kentucky’s 120 counties into 15 multi-county districts. Each ADD provides support to local governments through grant administration, program management, and long-range planning that directly improves economic development and quality of life. Governed by volunteer boards of elected officials and community leaders, ADDs are recognized for their fiscal responsibility and strong partnerships with state and federal agencies. Learn more ›
