This council drives regional strategies to address negative influences on social health and wellness that impede the Bluegrass region from reaching its full economic impact. This council would welcome input from healthcare professionals, community-based non-profit professionals and community wellness champions to create mutually supporting programs to enhance the overall well-being of citizens in the Bluegrass. Issues to be addressed include physical and mental health determinants to include substance use disorders, diabetes, isolation and poverty. Success of this council will be measured by reductions in overdose death, poverty, homelessness, incarceration, and unemployment.
The Council consists of one representative from each ADD county as well as other
individuals and stakeholders interested in human service issues as at-large members. It is specifically encouraged to be a group with a wide range of interests and representation in order to meet all human service needs of ADD residents.
