Health Promotion (Evidence-Based Programs)
An evidence-based initiative funded under Title IIID of the Older Americans Act aimed at enhancing health and wellness among seniors (aged 60+). Free in-person classes include:
- Chronic Disease Self‑Management (Stanford model)
- Tai Chi for Arthritis
- Bingocize (exercise + Bingo)
- Stay Active & Independent for Life (SAIL)
- Walk With Ease (Arthritis Foundation)
- Matter of Balance (fall prevention)
- Diabetes Prevention Program (CDC‑recognized)
Offered at senior centers and community venues—inquiries directed to local centers or call 859‑269‑8021 ext. 232.
