Nursing Home Ombudsman Program
Independent advocates working to improve quality of care and life for residents in nursing homes and other facilities. Operated by the Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass, this program advocates for residents of nursing, assisted living, personal care, and family care homes. Ombudsmen:
- Visit facilities monthly
- Investigate concerns and resolve complaints
- Educate residents and families about rights
- Conduct public awareness and qualityofcare presentations
- Provide placement counseling
Services are free and available to residents, families, and concerned individuals district-wide. Contact via phone or visit the Lexington office.
