About the THRAC Committee

2Development of recreational opportunities (this can include RTP and LWCF grants), promoting tourist attractions and preserving the historic heritage of the Bluegrass region are the primary goals of THRAC.

The Committee works with and advises the ADD Board via reporting on meetings and reviewing KIRPs. THRAC is directed by Community Planning. THRAC typically tours sites throughout the 17 county region, while having a guest speaker for the January meeting. The committee also has a Facebook page for sharing events and connects local tourism directors or citizen members that are appointed to the group. This information sharing can become invaluable as communities look to develop or sustain their recreational or historic draws.
